Pinterest is Going to Make My Head Explode...maybe.

Pinterest is about to make my head explode.

So, I've been on Pinterest for a while (back when you had to get an invite/apply or whatever). I have used my personal account for a smorgasbord of...stuff. It's like this giant, digital junk drawer with vision board dreams (at least my boards are, haha).

BUT, now that I've decided to actually make a go at making and selling products on Teachers Pay Teachers, I have to change things up. I opened up a business account because I don't want to bombard my followers (most of whom are my real-life friends) with teaching resources. Not that I plan to pin crap-loads of my own products (you know, all 7).

While making a new Pinterest account and creating boards is going to be a pain, I'm kinda looking forward to having the ability to start fresh. Though, it's a little daunting. I've been looking around at
other people's boards and love their board organization and title images. I really need to do that.

I also need to learn how to create my own pins and figure out how to verify my blog with Pinterest. Oh, and create at least two more products this week...and grade this giant stack of papers I brought home and finish some laundry and clean the bathroom and plan for my four different preps...yes, my head is spinning!

What I'll probably do, though, is catch up on my dvr shows. I have a Project Runway All-Stars, all the new Grimms, some Mindy Projects and some Walking Deads to watch.

Hope you're having a great week off!!!!!!

Hi!

Hi, everyone! I really am just getting started here!

Check back again soon for actual content!

I love practically anything to do with Social Studies (except those shows about bridges on the History Channel, yawn), traveling, books, home decorating, etc.

What else? I teach high school Social Studies (AP Economics, US History, US Government), and I've also spent a few years teaching middle school. My family is from Florida, but I pretty much grew up in Germany. I've lived in Florida since college (FSU--Go Noles!).  Oh, I also LOVE college football.

I'm in the process of trying to get more techie. My mom and sister are the two techies in my family. My sister has been in the industry in CA (startups in SF, etc.) since the late 90s. My mom was the one who initially taught her how to code. My dad and I, on the other hand, are the two history buffs.

I realize, though, that it's time to get with the times. I've just started to learn Adobe Photoshop, then I plan to branch out to Illustrator and InDesign. I started up a Teachers Pay Teachers store recently, and I want to make my products turn out exactly how I envision them in my head. I also want to be able to spiff up my website/blog on my own.

(Though, I really am thinking about trying to cajole my sister taking pity on me and doing it for me.)

Don't worry--I'm not planning to spend all my time promoting my stuff here. I don't like it when that's all I read on other blogs, so I told myself I wouldn't do it here.

Alright, that's all for now! I've got to go write a U.S. Government test. (Am I the only one that HATES writing tests? I wish the ones that came with the book resources didn't suck, so I could just use those...sigh!)
